Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured lessons in IT Fundamentals and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Teach learners how to effectively use computers, operating systems, files, folders, and common applications.
- Provide practical training in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, exercises, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and supervise hands-on computer laboratory sessions.
- Assess students' progress and maintain accurate training and attendance records.
- Provide additional support to learners who require assistance.
- Promote proper use and care of computers and other laboratory equipment.
- Maintain discipline and a professional learning environment during training sessions.
- Participate in staff meetings, training activities, examinations, and other program activities.
- Report technical issues affecting training to the appropriate personnel.
Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- A Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or recognized professional certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals and digital literacy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, internet applications, and basic computer troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple and practical terms.
- Good classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with learners of different ages and educational backgrounds.
Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, or other recognized IT certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Experience
- Previous experience teaching or training students in computer literacy, IT Fundamentals, or Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Applicants with at least 1 year of teaching, training, IT support, or related professional experience will have an advantage.
- Candidates with strong practical IT skills and demonstrated teaching ability may also be considered.
